Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and personal data for the MileStone Courier app and the MileStone Couriers website. It applies to courier (driver) accounts, business-portal contact accounts, and personal data from past orders. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle your information.

How to Request Deletion

Drivers and business-portal users can delete their own account in the app. Sign in and go to Account → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Portal logins are personal — deleting yours does not close your company’s account or affect your colleagues.

You can also request deletion — or removal of specific data without deleting your account — by contacting us using the email or phone number associated with your account or order:

1. Email support@milestonecouriers.ca with the subject line “Data deletion request”, or call 587-906-3666.
2. Tell us whether you want your entire account deleted, or only specific data (for example, details from a past order) removed while keeping your account active.
3. We’ll verify your request against the email or phone number on file and confirm once it’s complete.

Customers who booked without creating an account can request deletion of their personal details from past orders the same way, subject to the retention described below.

What Is Deleted

On an account deletion request, the following are deleted within 30 days:

• Login credentials
• Device push-notification tokens
• Profile details

What We Keep, and Why

Completed order and delivery records — including proof-of-delivery evidence and invoices — are retained for up to 7 years, as required for tax, accounting, and legal-compliance purposes. For process-serving jobs, this includes affidavits, which are court records. Once retained, this data is no longer linked to an active account.
