These Terms of Service govern your use of the courier services provided by 2268988 Alberta Ltd. operating as MileStone Couriers (“we”, “us”, “our”) at milestonecouriers.ca. By booking a delivery or using our website you agree to these terms.

Acceptance of Terms

By placing a booking, accessing our website, or using our services in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Description of Service

MileStone Couriers provides same-day, on-demand courier and delivery services within Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Nisku, Devon, and Leduc, Alberta, Canada. Service availability is subject to driver availability, weather conditions, and operational capacity at the time of booking.

Booking and Payment

All prices quoted on our website are in Canadian dollars and include the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Payment is processed securely by Stripe at the time of booking. By providing payment information you authorize us to charge the quoted amount. We do not store raw payment card data on our servers.

Declared-value coverage is optional. You may declare a package value up to $5,000 CAD; a coverage premium will be added to your total. The included coverage without declaration is $50 CAD.

User Responsibilities

When placing a booking, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete pickup and dropoff addresses, contact information, and package details
• Ensure that the package is ready for pickup at the scheduled time
• Ensure that items being shipped are lawful and permitted under these terms
• Ensure that packaging is adequate to protect the contents during transit

Prohibited Items

You may not ship any item that is illegal, hazardous, or restricted by applicable law, including but not limited to: controlled substances, firearms or ammunition, flammable or explosive materials, perishable items requiring temperature control (unless agreed in writing), cash or negotiable instruments, or any item whose transport is prohibited under federal or provincial law. We reserve the right to refuse or return any shipment suspected of containing prohibited items.

Delivery and Proof of Delivery

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver your package within the selected service window. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Proof of delivery (photo and/or digital confirmation) will be captured by the driver upon completion and made available to you on request.

If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, the driver will follow any instructions provided at booking. In the absence of instructions, the driver may leave the package in a secure location or return it to you. An additional fee may apply for re-delivery attempts.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you need to cancel or request a refund, please contact us as soon as possible at support@milestonecouriers.ca. Refund eligibility depends on whether a driver has already been dispatched. We will assess each request on a case-by-case basis and respond promptly.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MileStone Couriers' total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to a delivery shall not exceed the declared value of the shipment (or $50 CAD if no value was declared). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages of any kind, including loss of business, loss of profits, or damages arising from delays.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, road closures, or civil disturbances.

SMS Communications

By providing your mobile phone number you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to your bookings (confirmations, tracking updates, and authentication codes). We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
